Yup, I've seen it too now. Saw it last night.
How was it? Really good. Ground-breaking effects, great cinematography and an awesome soundtrack.
Although it had some pretty weak dialogue for some of the characters and the story was very predictable.
But I have to give it props for being almost 3 hours long and keeping me entertained all the way through, something many 3 hour movies have failed to do.
I still think District 9 was the best movie of 2009 though.

It was totally epic!
Although I agree the storyline was predictable, and the dialogue lacked in some areas.
But we don't have IMAX 3D here so it really didn't effect the film that much for me. Also you could see that some of the scenes were made particularly because it would look cool in 3D. Those didn't work quite well with the 3D here because here it looks like you're looking through a window rather than things coming upclose to your face.
the story was in fact predictable
I'm actually going to go see it again today
I wanna see it again too, but this time without the 3D so can see the difference.
I went to the theather a 3:15 pm, and the tickets were already sold out for the 4:00 pm show
I thought the theater would be slow on sundays. I was wrong
